Dan Gross

A Very Unique Composer for Film and Television

Dan is a Los Angeles based composer best known for scoring Comedy Central's Drunk History as well as the main theme for the UK version of the show. He has also composed music for numerous projects with Universal, Disney and Virgin, as well as writing original songs performed by artists including Jack Black and Val Kilmer.

Originally from Lakeville, Massachusetts, Dan studied film composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston before building a film scoring studio in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA.

In his most recent television projects, Dan has demonstrated through his distinctly memorable and playful melodies a unique and detailed approach to matching music with onscreen emotion and action. His spirited, emotive themes and rich orchestrations have found a natural place in dramatic works as well, illustrating his versatility and breadth as a composer.

When Dan is not composing, he works with power tools, gets lost in national parks, and records music with his wife, musician and writer Arielle Paul.
